A Letter from President Yoes; Celebrating America’s 250th
As we celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the United States of America, we pause to honor the vision, courage, and sacrifice of those who secured the blessings of liberty for future generations.
For two and a half centuries, our nation has endured because ordinary Americans have answered the extraordinary call to serve. Among them have been the men and women of law enforcement who, for generations, have stood as guardians of the rule of law, protecting the rights and freedoms that define our Republic.
For 112 years, the Fraternal Order of Police has proudly stood shoulder to shoulder with those who wear the badge. Through times of peace and times of uncertainty, our mission has remained unchanged: to support those who protect our communities, advocate for the profession, and ensure that every officer returns home safely.
As we reflect on America’s remarkable journey, let us also look ahead with confidence and resolve. The challenges facing our nation remind us that freedom is never self-sustaining. It depends upon citizens of character, leaders of integrity, and public servants willing to place duty above self.
To every FOP member, thank you for your unwavering commitment to your communities, your profession, and our great nation. Your service continues a legacy that stretches back to the founding of this Republic and inspires the generations that will follow.
Jennifer and I wish you and your families a safe, joyful, and meaningful Independence Day.
May God continue to bless each of you, the Fraternal Order of Police, and the United States of America as we celebrate 250 years of freedom.
Happy Independence Day!
