We’re kicking off our weekly Zoom legislative update meetings this Monday morning at 8:30 AM with our lobbyist, Sean Kelley.   These will be recurring, so you can use the same link for every session going forward.

I strongly encourage you to join whenever your schedule allows. These briefings are the best way to stay current on what’s happening at the Legislature and to keep your members informed.

A quick reminder of how quickly things can change: Last session we successfully extended the college benefit to correction officers. Less than a year later, we’re already facing legislation that would strip that retention incentive away.

To build strong testimony in defense of the benefit, we’ll soon be asking for information from any of your members who currently have children attending state colleges using the program. I’ll reach out with details as we get closer.
